The SuperHero Story...

Our mission is to "save the day" for event planner clients by making their life easier and by making them look good.  We accomplish this by providing distinctively personable and professional service, and innovative applications of technology that surprise and delight VIP guests. 

SuperHero Productions was founded by Gordon Murray, who discovered his photographic superpowers in high school when he was bitten by a radioactive spider.  No, wait...it was in high school that Murray earned the nickname "Flash Gordon" while taking pictures for the school paper.  He graduated from college with a degree in photography, and began his career as a corporate Media Producer with the phone company.  After years of visualizing dial-tone, he left his day-job to answer his entrepreneurial calling.  For 15 years, Flash and his teams produced high-level gatherings for hundreds of mega-companies that included IBM, PolyGram Records, Wells Fargo, Circle K, Mattel Toys, American Express, Intel, Aramis Colognes, US West, and Lederle Labs.  They pioneered practical applications of many new high-tech toys, including "still video" - the forerunner of today's digital photography.  With 45 employees, over $5 million in annual revenue and some really colossal overhead, the company was recognized as one of the "Top 100" meeting and media production houses in the country.

Then came the Dot-Com Crash and 9-11, and Flash started over with a concept for a more client-centered business model with a lot, lot less overhead.  He envisioned an exclusive network of select career-event specialists - chosen for their exceptional people skills, and hired on a per-project basis.  After 15 years of producing events himself, Flash was convinced that this combination of highly Personable Service and Innovative Technology could consistently deliver a better customer experience than the typical "available staff" or "sole proprietor" approach.  The new business model worked, and SuperHero Productions, LLC became Arizona's premier network of event-specialists.

Today, SuperHero Productions is the preferred provider for many top DMCs, resort properties and scores of Arizona-based and Arizona-bound groups each year.  These have recently included AAA, Altana Pharmaceutical, Arbonne, Arby's, ASU, Best Western International, BFG Fieldworks, Cable One, Charles Schwab, Charter Media, Conferon, Cytec, Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, GlaxoSmithKline, GoDaddy, JPMorgan Chase Bank, Limited Too, Medtronics, Matria Healthcare, Microchip, McKesson, McCarthy Building, Pitney Bowes, Sage Software, Scottsdale Insurance Co, Stryker Canada, TGEN, Veolia Transportation, and many more associations.  SuperHeroes travel the world with incentive travel companies like Maritz, Conferon and Strategic Meetings & Incentives.  They are active members of MPI, SITE, and both the Scottsdale and Phoenix CVBs.
